Acronis TI 10 won't boot on Lenove T400

Thread needs solution

I have used my TI 10 home to boot and image my Lenovo T42 with no problems. I just got a newer Lenove T400 and when I try to boot from TI cd it starts with the Acronis startup window and then the laptop screen goes blank and the cd stops. What should I do.. I can use the cd on my older laptop with no problem. Thanks in advance. Rick

Rick:

When you created your recovery CD did you include both the "full" and "safe" mode versions of TI 10? If so, try safe mode. The full-mode version is Linux-based and probably does not support the hardware in your T400. Safe mode is DOS-based and should work on either of your ThinkPads, although networking will not be working in safe mode. USB support is also not available in safe mode but most ThinkPads will enumerate USB drives on boot, so you should be able to see them if they are plugged in when you boot the PC.

If you need to get the full-mode version of TI working you will have to upgrade to the newest version to get the latest driver support.
