Acronis TI 2011 + Windows 7 = Total Fail
I was hoping to use Acronis True Image 2011 to handle imaging and backup with my new SSD and storage drives. I've used Acronis for many years, it's saved me a lot of grief and wasted time, unfortunately, it seems that this is the end of the road.
I was going to upgrade to 2011, but I decided to check out the trial version, I'm glad I did. True Image 2011 locked up my Win7 64bit computer at the first screen; totally unusable.
TRY Acronis before you buy it!!

As I mentioned, I have used Acronis for a few years to clone my hard drives. As I found out, an Acronis TI "clone" does not mean an exact copy, that's why many people have problems, especially going from an HD to and SSD. And not even able to open the program? That is a "showstopper".
There is other disk management software that will migrate from an HD to an SSD and ensure correct alignment while doing so. This program will also manage partitions and align them without destroying data, clone, image, defrag and optimize drives all for the same price as the basic Acronis TI package, which does not have as many features. And the software actually runs.
