Acronis True Image 11 Home Recovery

Thread needs solution

My computer displays the blue screen of death when I try to boot so I altered the Boot Sequence to:
1. Onboard or USB CD-ROM Drive
2. Onboard SATA Hard Drive
USB Device
Onboard or USB Floppy Drive (Not Present)
Onboard PATA Hard Drive (Not Present)
Using Acronis Recovery Manager Bootable Rescue Media, I ran Recovery but when I noticed it started at file 10, instead of 01, I cancelled the Recovery.
Now when I try to rerun Recovery, I get to the Wecome to the Restore Data Wizard
Backup Archive Selection
My Computer
FTP Connections
My Book (C:)
CD Drive (D:)
CD Drive (E:)
Network

My (C:) Hard Drive is missing, My Book is my external Hard Drive with my backup files and (E:) is the Recovery Manager.

How can I reassign the drives so I can restore from My Book to my (C:) Hard Drive?

Hello Richard,

Thank you for posting your question, I will be happy to help.

To get the access to your C: drive please unfold the My computer item. It can have another drive letter.

The full version of Acronis Bootable Rescue Media uses Linux environment. This results in the default Linux letter assignment rules, which may be different from the ones in Windows. This is a standard behavior. It does not mean that the drive letters in Windows have been changed. Try identifying the drive or partition you need by size or label.

If you have a USB drive, it is recommended to plug it in after booting from Acronis Bootable Media, so that it does not receive the drive letter of your system partition.

If the provided information is not clear or if you have any other question do not hesitate to post them and we will be glad to answer.

Thank you.

My version of Home 11 will not produce a USB boot disk even though my Bios supports this media.

Why do I continually get "Bootwiz.bin error each time I attempt to creat a bootable USB thumb drive?
