Acronis True Image 2011 - Create VM - Restore into VirtualBox - Starting crashes with BSOD

I have imaged a server 2008 installation of a server that I maintain and have selected the generate VM option upon doing so.

When I try to load this within my VirtualBox machine (happens on VM server also) it crashes because of the dissimilar software involved (BSOD).

I know I can boot off the disk and recover the image I've backed up but I was hoping (as it's a damn site quicker) to setup a VirtualBox hardware in a specific way that would allow me to load the virtual machine created using Acronis True Image.

Any tips?
