Acronis True Image 2014 backup until drive is full
Is there an option in Acronis True Image 2014 where it can rewrite old files or keep updating same file. Please help. I only see that software keep backing up and creating additional files until my drive is full and I have to manually delete old files to make some space. Thank you

You are accepting the default task settings whereas,
You need to create a new backup task with a custom backup scheme which has "automatic cleanup". Depending upon whether your type backup, one of the examples below should suffice. Point the new task to an empty folder or sub-folder. Cease to use the old default backup task.
What the examples show is how to have the program perform automatic deletion after the number of backup chains reaches your present number of how many chains the program should retain. If choosing full plus incremental's, one mistake too often made is too many incremental's and not frequent enough full backups . Read my link GH25.
3 choices of backup type examplea:
Full only backups-- custom backup scheme:
GH11. Create Custom Full Backup Scheme.Keep 4 versions (chains). The 4 is an example only with user choice for whatever number of chains to be retained best fits the individual needs..
Full plus X incremental's backups-- custom backup scheme::
GH12. Create Custom Incremental Backup Scheme. 6 Inc, Keep 4 chains. The 6-4 is an example only with user choice for whatever number of chains to be retained best fits the individual needs.
Note/example: If rule selected is "Delete older than 7 days" is selected, deletion will not begin until the first chain (7 files) is completed and entire chain is older than 7 days.
Full plus X differentials backups-- custom backup scheme::
GH13. Create Custom Differential Backup Scheme. 2 Diff, Keep 2 chains. The 2-2 is an example only with user choice for whatever number of chains to be retained best fits the individual needs.
