Acronis True Image 2015 Incremental backup schedule

Thread needs solution

Would My thinking be correct? I'm almost sure about it, but I thought what the hell, get a confirmation or two:)

Backing up for the first time using the Incremental Scheme would do this?
Firstly create a full back up of my system partition ( as I set it to disks and partitions, not whole system)
and then on, on a daily basis, say at 12:00 am each day, Acronis will backup automatically, but only the changes made since the Full backup, So if Avira and Skype used 748MB of space during installation, this is how big the incremental will be ? Also should I exclude the temp folders or leave them as is to be backed up also?

David, welcome to these User Forums.

All Acronis Backup Schemes have to start by creating a Full backup image.

When using an Incremental backup scheme, each further backup will capture only the changes identified since the previous backup was made.  So the first incremental detects the changes since the Full backup, the next detects the changes since the previous incremental backup etc.

By default, temp folders / files are excluded from the backup as are also the Windows pagefile, hibernation file and also System Volume Information folders (where restore point data is held).  You should check the Exclusions settings for your backup task and add or remove any that needed / not needed.

You should also create and test the Acronis bootable Rescue media for your computer after creating your backup image(s), so that you know that you could recover from a total disk failure situation.
