Acronis True Image 2015 Schedule doesn't run with UAC on.

Thread needs solution

Out of (3) PC's that now have licensed Acronis backup software, installed about a week ago, (2) of them were not able to carry out their scheduled backups. The strangest thing, is that there is no way in Acronis to figure out why. The (1) machine that did backup correctly had UAC turned completely off, the other (2) had UAC on one slider setting below the highest.

I found a document on an older version, TIH 2011 I believe, where UAC could be a problem if the active user (while trying to backup) didn't have administrator privileges. I checked this, and all users on all machines were compliant.

Then I found something interesting. If I turned UAC off on the other two machines, performed the required reboot with UAC off, the backup schedule was now confirmed in the backup line-item in Acronis, and the backup ran as scheduled. I turned UAC back on on all (3) machines, and now the schedules are functioning correctly.

I have no idea what happened here to all of a sudden start making the schedules work correctly, but thought I'd document it here so when I have problems with this in the future, I'd have my own post to find.

I do find it mildly strange that the name "Acronis" throws a spelling error here in the Acronis forums compose message body. I imagine I'm not the first one to comment on that.
