Acronis True Image Echo Workstation

Thread needs solution

I have Acronis True Image Echo Workstation (build 8,398) and when I boot a computer with the boot disk for some reason the computer I am trying to image does not get an IP address therefore, I can not connect to the network drive where I have the image. I have checked and the network card is recognized but the IP adress starts with a 169.
The computer I am trying to image is a Compaq VS696UT
with windows 7
Please assist.

Hello Sergio,

No worries, I will assist you to resolve the issue.

It appears that your CD cannot get the correct IP address from DHCP server, because 169. is a default mask. Have you tried to configure your network manually (without DHCP server)? This can be done in Tools -> Options. If this does not help, please try accessing your drive using IP address instead of hostname.

Also, I'd recommend you to download the version which is based on another loader (the version has some extended list of drivers and startup parameters). We have implemented the possibility to download the appropriate ISO file after logging into your account (the serial number should be registered). This option is available for the current and (n-1) versions. Please log in to your account, go to the Registered products and downloads section -> Bootable media. Download the file.
To get access to the ISO you should first register Acronis software.

You can find more information on how to burn an ISO image to a CD here.

I'd like to make sure all your queries regarding Acronis products are resolved.
Additionally to this, you are welcome to ask me any other questions concerning Acronis, and I will assist you further.

Thank you.
