Acronis True Image Home 2012 - "Unknown error occurred..." spends hours calculating
I have not succeeded in having a successful online backup upload in several weeks. Online backup starts and keeps calculating for hours, showing the message "Unknown error occurred while connecting to Acronis Online Storage." It also sometimes shows something about unlocking not being supported by the file stream, "Configuration file not found", etc.
Once these errors occur, the program toniues to run saying that it is "Calculating" and does not stop until I manually close the program using Ctrl-Alt-Del.
Any suggestions for a procedure to investigate this?

I have done as you suggested, but now I find that my support on Acronis True Image Home 2012 is "expired" and I have to pay. When your product does not work, and I've never needed technical support, I do not really feel that I should have to pay. I will have to do so, but under protest. As on as I can find another online storage, I will probably switch.

I too have this issue too. Having purchased the product I'll contact support with the items above.

I may have found a solution as I got mine to start working doing the following, I installed the "wireshark" and Acronis Report above suggested to report problems to Acronis. Nothing at this point, so I uninstalled the Acronis True Image 2012. Then re-installed it. Read the method for running wireshark before starting a backup and then starting a backup.
No immediate success but later after 4 hours I stopped wireshark and killed off the backup job that was still calculating. Re-started Acronis and to my surprise the backup was listed as completed and available to be restored !?!@?!@#$!
I suspect that wirewatch does something here. I was using a 500Mbyte external drive to backup my laptop.
I reviewed the log for the successful backup and it seems to scan every drive not just the one I was attempting to backup from and too. Also I'm using Windows 7 Home Premium 64 byte, maybe that causes issues, I would have thought it would benefit the processing power.
Anyhow have a go at wireshark, I'm continuing to test to find solution.
