Acronis USB drivers conflict with SDHC cards

There are a number of threads at Technet and others describing Win7 not recognizing SDHC cards and large (>2G) USB drives. I had similar problems - I could see/read the drives when dual-booting into Ubuntu, but Win7 wouldn't recognize them.

The procedure that seems to temporarily remedy the problem is to "uninstall" the drives in Device Manager and then "Scan for new hardware." The SDHC cards and large thumb drives then start working ... until the computer is rebooted.

Looking at the installed drivers (attached) and then uninstalling ATIH2012 confirmed ATIH2012 was somehow messing with large USB drives. This is repeatable.

I'll be happy to supply data to anyone who wants to work on this, but at least for me, ATIH2012 will remain uninstalled until a fix is available.
