Acronis won't install

Thread needs solution

While I know that the latest TrueImage is 2011, I have been content with TrueImage 2009, as subsequently upgraded to 2010.

Seeking to install this version of TrueImage on a new computer, I have downloaded files TrueImage2010.7046_s_uk.exe and TrueImage2010_d_uk.exe

Both give fault conditions as soon as they run. Grateful for guidance.

Hello David,

Welcome to our forum and thank you very much for posting. I will definitely assist you with resolving this issue.

It occurs because the executable package crashes for unknown reasons. I can recommend the following workaround:

1. Start the installation package of Acronis True Image Home 2010, right-click on Install Acronis True Image Home and select Extract.

2. Save the AcronisTrueImage.msi file to your C: drive.

3. Navigate to the C: drive and run the .msi file.

For any reasons, if the installation rolls back, please generate this log together with this report so that I can continue assisting you. You can send them to me via a private message.
