Activity Monitor Missing in Taskbar During Backup or Restoring.

I'm using TIH 2009 build 9809 in Windows XP PRO. How do I get the activity monitor to display in the Taskbar. It used to be there before. I have tried a new install of TIH with no avail. The True Image Monitor application file is in the TIH directory. Any assistance is appreciated.
