Add To Backup List Hangs
I am attempting to restore a backup (.tib) that is on my Blackarmor NAS. Acronis hangs when I attempt to add it to the backup list. Following are the exact steps that I take:
(1) Open Acronis 2013
(2) Navigate to the Backup and Recovery tab
(3) Click Browse for Backup
(4) Find and select, in the Browse for Backup dialog box, the .tib file that I want to restore
(5) Click "Add to backup list"
After performing those steps, Acronis closes the Browse for Backup dialog box and hangs at that point.
This does not occur with all of the backups that I have on the Blackarmor drive but it does seem to happen with all backups in a particular folder.
I'm not quite sure how to troubleshoot or fix this.
Can anyone help?

Thanks for following up so quickly. I guess this forum doesn't alert you via an e-mail that a response has been posted. Anyway, I just now saw your message. Oops, forget that, I just saw the checkbox for notifications.
It doesn't appear to work either way. Other folders on my NAS are accessible and work fine whether I use a mapped drive name or a UNC path. It is just this one folder. It has approximately 30 .tib files in it and I no matter which one I pick, ATI hangs on me. I thought maybe a file was corrupt but I can't believe that all 30 are corrupt.
Any other ideas? I really need to get some data off of one of those backups.

As a quick test, copy one of the files (a complete backup file or set) to a different folder on your NAS and try to add it to the backup list. If you are successful, it may be a permissions issue on the original folder.

So that you know, it is not necessary to see a backup in the backup list to be able to restore it. From Windows Explorer, right click on the file and choose archives, recover (for a file backup).
To recover a disk and partition backup, use the recovery CD anyway.
Other options include:
- to recover certain files and folder form a disk and partition backup, you can mount the backup,
- to recover certain files and folder from a disk and partition backup or a file backup, you can double click on the TIB file and copy out.
