After Upgrading Cloud Backup Starting From Scratch

Thread needs solution

I just upgraded to True Image 2014 from 2013. When attempting a cloud backup, Acronis is backing up every file as if it's a new backup and not an incremental. This is taking quite some time and the files are already part of my cloud backup. Is there a solution to this or do I need to let it treat this as a new backup?

I am experiencing the same problem. In the most recent attempt I cancelled the Cloud Backup after letting it run for 24 hours; it was only 18% complete.

The problem is further aggravated by slow transfer speed. Using True Image 2014 Build 5560 my upload speed averaged 1.4 Mbps. Using Build 6614 the average is less than100 Kbps.

If this problem is not resolved shortly I will be forced to back out to Build 5560.

I have the same problem with speed down to 56Kbits. It used to work faster under 2013 and was quite reasonable. I also have the start over each time issue, so it is estimating 100 days or more. I am windows 8.1 as well.

I got an answer from Acronis' support. It's a known bug. They have changed something in the way data are stored online so 2014 has to reupload everything. Actually, it does not reupload everything, it needs to validate data (this is the word the support used). That explain why the speed is lower. Normally, the total duration should not exceed the initial backup.

That is for the "good" news. The bad news now. I did follow their recommendation and let everything being reuploaded. Then the problem was solved.

Until a few days ago when it started again. Nothing changed on my side, no new installation, no change of version, but the system started to reupload everything.

I am currently in the process of letting everything being reuploaded for the second time. Should it happen a third time, I will seriously think about switching to another product.
