OK, Major problems here,
First it is very old 2012, when it did exist, but during the WIN 10 Up-Grade, it actually told me what programs will not run on Win 10 and Acronis was the ONLY one. Plus, after the Upgrade, finished there is no trace of the "Program" all the files it made are still there, but not viewable.
Now if there are traces left and I run that clean up utility it won't hurt the old archived data correct?
AND if I download a newer version, will it open thae old files?
Thanks

Ti 2015 is the last version can open your 2012 archives https://kb.acronis.com/content/1689.
The cleanup utility will remove any traces left of the program but will not remove your 2012 archive files.
I suggest you use your 2012 bootable rescue cd to make a current backup of your system.
Then download and install TI 2016 and make a new backup using TI 2016. Create a bootable rescue CD/USB drive with TI 2016. Keep your 2012 bootable rescue media in case you need to acess your older archives.

But if 2012 can NOT work on WIN 10 how can I make a backup?
And there is no trace of the 2012 version here anymore that I can see after the upgrade.

As I mentioned in my earlier post you will have to use your Bootable Rescue CD/USB drive. You should be able to login to your Acronis account at www.acronis.com and download the Bootable Media.ISO file. You can burn this as an image to a DVD.
And there is no trace of the 2012 version here anymore that I can see after the upgrade.
Is this after you ran the cleanup tool? If so this normal. If you haven't run it yet there are still traces if 2012 that are not reaily visible, the cleanup tool will remove them.

I do not think you understand what I want to do.
I had 2012, and when I upgraded to win 10 it actually said it will not work.
And right now there is no trace of 2012.
why do I need a boot up disk when everything is running better than it has ever did.
It is like say I made a bunch of pdf files, then I removed the pdf reader. I have files but no way to access them.
All the files that it made I have access to and can see, I just can't open them because 2012 is gone.
what can I do

Linda, the answers already given by Thomas are correct.
ATIH 2012 is not supported for use with or compatible to be installed on Windows 10 systems - only ATIH 2015 or later can be used with Windows 10.
However, although ATIH 2012 cannot be installed on Windows 10 - you can still use the ATIH 2012 bootable Rescue Media (on CD or USB stick) to make backups outside of Windows or to restore files etc from your existing backups.
Unless you already have a copy of ATIH 2015, then the current ATIH 2016 version is not guaranteed to be compatible with the backup files that were created by ATIH 2012 - some users have found that the 2016 version will read and use such older backup files but you would need to test this for yourself as Acronis state that 2016 is only compatible with ATIH 2013 or later files.
Your options at this point are either to use the offline bootable rescue media from ATIH 2012, or to purchase a later version of ATIH that is compatible with Windows 10, i.e. the 2016 version - and then start making new backups with that new version.
One further option at this time is to sign up for the ATIH 2017 Beta testing and give that version a try for free on your system before it is put out for public sale later in the Autumn.

why do I need a boot up disk when everything is running better than it has ever did.
If you want to be able to access the backup files you currently have you need to boot from the rescue disk. More importantly you need this disk if your system is unable to boot normally.
All the files that it made I have access to and can see, I just can't open them because 2012 is gone.what can I do
Boot from the TI 2012 rescue disk. Once booted you can make more backups or restore files and folders from your existing archives.
I recommend you make a new backup of your windows 10 disk using the TI 2012 rescue disk. If you wish to continue with Acronis True Image I recommend you upgrade to TI 2016 and begin making backups with it.
