Alarm on changing REV 35 Disks
If my backup requires more than one disk is an audio alarm available to signal the need to change media rather than waiting 5 minutes for the user to make the change which requires constant surveillance of the computer and the possibility of the Backup failure?

Sorry for the delay in replying. I am backing up to Iomega Rev 35 GB disks. I am using 2 disks at present to back up apx. 50GB of data and when one finishes I need to insert the next one. But if I am not attending the machine I have perhaps 5 minutes to realize that a new disk is called for before True Image automatically cancels my backup and I have to start all over again.

Ah, I see. Sorry, I'm not aware of any audible alarm feature.
If you can, I'd recommend you get a larger external HD to use for backups. They have become relatively inexpensive, even for large ones. Your old Iomega disks are really rather out of date, as each is no bigger than a USB flash drive.

I have one additional comment about multiple volume media used for backup. I am well aware of the limitations of REV35 disks, however they do not fortunately require a drive per disk and the possibility of its failure. More to the issue, I have 64GB Compact Flash cards that under Windows are treated as removable disks, but I still have need to change the media for additional volumes. When will the 1 Terabyte Compact Flash card appear I do not know, but I believe the need for changeable volumes will still be necessary and a "Volume Change Alarm" a welcome addition to the program.
