Alienware Network Adaptor not recognised by True Image

Thread needs solution

I have an Alienware laptop (2013 Haswell range) with Acronis True Image 2014 Premium (build 6614) installed on a Windows 8.1 OS.

The Bootable CD rescue disks do not recognise the network adaptor and I am unable to use the NAS or FTP connection features for either Backup or Recovery. (NOTE: The Windows 8.1 OS installation of True Image 2014 allows me to use the FTP and NAS features).

I have created a bootable CD of the Rescue Media using the following methods,
- "Create bootable media" from the installed application
- Download of a bootable media from my registered account on http://acronis.co.uk

My Network Adaptor is as follows:

Killer Ethernet e2200 Gigabit Ethernet Controller (NDIS 6.30)
Provider: Killer
Date: 20/03/2013
Version: 8.0.2.42

Not much you can do. You would have to use the premium version of ATI to get the WINPE plugin. With this, you can create a WinPE disk relatively easily and that might be all what you need. If you cannot see your network shares with WinPE, you could create a Mustang PE disk which will provide you with more plugins to put on the WinPE image and mount network shares so that ATI can find them in the WinPE environment. A bit of learning curve here, but it is doable.
