Annoying 2015 upgrade message every time computer reboots

After I installed the latest build of True Image 2014 (6688) an Acronis message stating there is a new version available (2015) is displayed EVERY time my systems reboot. I just don't want to buy a new product now, I'm perfectly happy with version 2014.

How do I get rid of this annoying message once and for all? Do I need to reinstall the previous build?

You can't do that easily, because Acronis wants to keep selling you the latest update. Read this thread and this thread.

Lots of people are upset (righteously so).
