ATH2011 - How to clean-up backups?
Hi,
my backup drive (an external 1 TB USB drive) is almost full. The next backup jobs will not complete. I'm using custom backup schemes, see attached image.
What is the best way to delete some of the backup files without loosing any backup chain?
cu,
Michael

I use Acronis True Image Home 2011, build 6868, on a Win7 Ultimate 64-bit pc, and the Custom Backup Scheme is set to "Store no more that 3 recent versions."
I always do only full backups of this pc, but if there are three full backups already in the destination folder (on an external drive), when a new full backup is completed, there are always four backups in the destinationi folder, and I must manually delete the oldest one.
Resetting the Store hasn't fixed the problem, and I know it is set to do the cleanup automatically, as "Turn off automatic cleanup" shows just below the setting for 3 backups.
Would appreciate assistance in correcting this annoying issue.

P. Monroe,
ATI will always complete a fourth backup before deleting the first one. If it doesns't delete it:
- move your existing backups to another directory on the same drive,
- delete the backup task from ATI (ATI will complain that some files are not there, insist)
- set up a new task.
Hopefully that will fix it.
