ATI 2009 and 2011, questions about GPT, RAID5, Windows 7

Thread needs solution

A couple years ago I purchased ATI 2009. Except for some problems regarding compatibility between my RAID controller and the Bootable Rescue Media, I've been content with TI 2009.

Now I'm moving to W7 and a few things are quite unclear to me.
According to the Acronis web site TI 2009 doesn't support Windows 7.
However the Windows 7 Compatiblity Center states that it is supported:
www.microsoft.com/windows/compatibility/windows-7/en-us/Details.aspx

Are there problems between TI 2009 and W7? Things not working properly, missing features, what?

TI 2009 vs 2011:
-Facts
1. TI 2011 supports hardware RAID
2. TI 2011 doesn't support GPT without Plus Pack
3. TI 2011 with plus pack doesn't support GPT with RAID 1 or RAID5
4. TI 2009 doesn't support GPT

-Irregularities (works for me)
1. TI 2009 does support GPT on my RAID controller in Windows Vista, I can make backups TO the RAID/GPT volume. I haven't tried making a backup OF the RAID/GPT volume.

-Questions, TI 2011 with Plus Pack (PP)
1. Does TI 2011PP work with RAID controllers set up in RAID 5 with GPT when using the Windows 7 version of TI 2011PP, ie. can I make backup TO the RAID5/GPT volume?
2. Does the TI 2011PP Rescue Media support the same feature as mentioned in question #1?

System information:
Windows Vista Home Premium x64, fully updated
System disk: Western Digital 500GB SATA
Storage: Highpoint RocketRaid 2310 + 4x Wester Digital 1TB SATA disks in RAID 5, GPT

Future system will have Windows 7 Ultimate x64

3) TI 2011 with plus pack doesn't support GPT with RAID 1 or RAID5
relates to software raid only, similar to the support of them in desktop Windows operating systems. (Similar, but not the same - Mirrored (RAID1) volumes are supported on Windows 7 Professional and higher). It allows any hardware raid configuration as RAID controller and its drivers allow.

Support of rescue media depends on controller and drivers availability, there are no additional limitations.

According to the third reference I posted:

Limitations on dynamic disks and GPT disks support in Acronis True Image Home 2010 Plus Pack and Acronis True Image Home 2011 Plus Pack:
RAID-1 (Mirrored) and RAID-5 volumes are not supported. See also Acronis True Image Home: RAID Support;

There's no mention about just software RAID anywhere on the page.

From http://kb.acronis.com/content/11681

The official support scheme for RAID configuration is the following:
Acronis True Image Home supports hardware RAID arrays of all the popular types both with and without the Plus Pack add-on, in any case. Thus, the supported hardware RAIDs are:
RAID 0
RAID 1
RAID 5
RAID 0+1
RAID 1+0

So all possible and impossible HW RAID configuration even without PP.

Acronis True Image Home does not support software RAID implementations (Windows Dynamic Disks, GPT volumes etc) if Plus Pack is not installed.

And no SW RAID at all without PP.

Acronis True Image Home Plus Pack enables the support for Windows Dynamic Disks and GPT volumes that are set up in any configuration except for RAID 5 and RAID 1 (Mirrored) which are not supported even with Plus Pack.

And non-redundant SW RAID with PP.
