ATI 2010 - Data image of 1TB folder
File size vs. "time to create image"
I'm attempting to create images of some fairly large folders/files.
Anything from 100GB to 1.1TB
Any input would be appreciated
Normal small business data along with converted movie DVD's,...
Running WinXP on a performance workstation.
Saving the image to a "network" computer across a Gigabit LAN.
Creating images of a 10GB folder happens fairly quickly.
However a 100GB folder takes "MUCH, MUCH LONGER" than 10 times that time.
It doesn't appear to be a linear relationship at all.
Question #1:
Is this indeed the case that larger files can be a problem.
Question #2:
Does LAN add to the issue.
Do large files involve extremely small packet sizes or something?
Question #3:
Are there some settings/setup that speeds large files?

I tried Karen's and this isn't what I desire.
I like the acronis compressed incremental images.
I can go back in time and see earlier versions of my current documents,...
I'd really like to address my three questions within Acronis, not switch solutions.
Thanks for your help
