ATI 2010 - too many bugs, too little time

Thread needs solution

I was a fairly satisfied user of the pre-2010 ATI. But, I've started looking for another vendor to replace my two licenses of ATI 2010. To me it looks like this program totally skipped any type of competent QA evaluation.

There are just too many issues to list individually and this note is about the last effort I'm spending on Acronis.

Sorry, I'm not usually a ranter, but this new program is a new low. Yes, Ive tried the latest build.

Good luck to those remaining users.

Hello Tim876876,

Thank you for the feedback, it's really important for us.

We are really sorry for the difficulties you've experienced with Acronis True Image Home 2010.

We'll be happy to help you to resolve the issues, so could you please clarify what exactly did you try to do? Were there any error messages?

Once again please accept our profound apologies for the inconvenience, we are looking forward to hearing back from you at your earliest convenience.

Thank you.

I'm new here and a new user of ATI Home 2010 latest build (just installed 4/25). I too am encountering numerous errors I never saw with Ghost 2003 through Ghost 14. For starters when doing restores, ATI marked both my 2 hard drives as owned by Unix! This caused my BIOS not to recognize the HDs, and neither Win XP nor Win 7 install disks would recognize them either. This is a disaster. I FINALLY had to FDISK, deleted all partitions, and rebuilt from scratch to recover.

Secondly Restoring Win 7/32 to my 2nd HD resulted in an unworkable system. It would load, then say "building your desktop", then hang.

I decided to try ATI because I'd heard so many good things about it, and I'm not real happy with Symantec. However the experiences I've had with ATI in the last week makes good old Ghost look wonderful!
