ATI 2011 .asz issue

Thread needs solution

Howdy y'all ,

I am trying to convert my .asz from FAT to NTFS , first I cleared the partition of any files then started the process , the program starts and says it's working (icon in the try is moving) but it never goes past 3% , I let it sit for hours and it just sits there at 3%.

I then cancel the process and it says "Process completed successfully"

any ideas on what the problem could be?

thanks
Rob

nothing eh , well I guess it's time to contact Tech Support.

As far as I'm aware you can't convert the ASZ to NTFS, but then I've never tried to do so.

Well I have already removed the .asz and moved it to another drive anyways , but yes there is an option in the .asz options that says :"Convert Acronis Secure Zone to NTFS File system"

if it in fact can't be done then this option should be removed , I would have saved several hours of my life.

and not that it matters but EVERY backup I try now even as small as an email backup fails and the Program will not even start now so....I have come to the conclusion that the 2011 version SUCKS!!

I'm going back to 2010 until they fix it.

I'm sorry for my poor attitude Colin and I do appreciate your trying to help but I have literally wasted an entire day of my life on this crap...I'm done! I am soo glad I didn't buy the Plus pack upgrade.

Try running a repair install.

Did you delete the ASZ using TI or manually delete it?

I removed it within the ASZ section of program itself , it has a feature to do so.

and I just uninstalled ATI 2011 , I am too frustrated at this point to waste any more time. I also ran my JV16 Power tools and found that after the uninstall and reboot the program left behind several parts of itself , ISO builder , one click backup and 4 others that I have forgotten.

I may come back after I cool off and do a clean install , I had 2010 on and the Plus pack for it when I installed and maybe that is part of my problem , However I did manage to get one backup done last night without issues sooo....who knows.

I appreciate your help Colin B , I will try to reinstall the Program again later tonight before rolling back to 2010 , I LOVE the interface (very easy to use) , but first I'm going to do a defrag using my Perfect Disk program.

I have a perfectly running system as I keep it VERY neat and tidy but I'm pulling out all the stops to give 2011 another chance.

once again thanks for the effort ,
Rob
