ATI 2012 and windows 7 and 10

Thread needs solution

I have a paid version of ATI 2012 and a valid serial number. I have one computer with Win 7 pro and recently purchased one with Windows 10. Both 64 bit.

I would like to clone a data HDD from the older Win 7 computer to the newer Win 10 one. Can this be done with ATI 2012? Will it install on either computer?

I use the ATI 2012 Recovery manager on the CD to clone disks and it states this is Universal for any OS. I would also like to know if I can use this to backup the windows 10 partition, particularly as Window 10 requires ATI2010 to be un-installed.

TI 2012 is supported in Win 7 https://kb.acronis.com/content/23921 so it should install. You can make a files and folders backup of your Win 7 system and restore those files on your Win 10 system. You will have to use the recovery cd to boot and restore the backup on Win 10. TI 2012 will most likely not install on Win 10. If you plan to use Acronis on Win 10 you will need TI 2015 or TI 2016 to be able to install it. Otherwise you could use your 2012 recovery cd to boot and make backups from that.
