ATI 2015 Hnags when trying to back up - used to work

Thread needs solution

I am a new ATI 2015 user (was a Ghost user..l.) from about a month ago. I installed the software and set it up to run weekly backups - and it worked fine. Several days ago, when I tried to open ATI, I got a rectangular frame on the desktop, but it was empty. I could move it around and even click in the upper right hand area to close - but it showed nothing. After trying several times a re-booting, the problem remained. I tried to uninstall it using the ATI uninstall, but it got a box stating ATI 2015 was not installed. I used Revo Uninstaller to uninstall, rebooted, then reinstalled. I installed build 6525 from your site.

Now, I can open ATI, but when I try to backup my C drive, it hangs at about 20-25%(jpg attached). I have tried this twice. I then tried to generate a system report, but got the same empty rectangle on the screen (jpg attached)

I would appreciate any suggestions as what to try next. I am running a Dell E521, Vista Home Premium, 4gb ram, ATI Radeon HD 5450.

Thanx

Your issue sounds a lot like the issue being discussed in this thread starting with post #3 - https://forum.acronis.com/forum/91386

It seems that Windows updates issued on June 9 are responsible for the problems. Removing one or more of those updates seems to clear things up.

Thank you for the quick and helpful reply! I followed the thread and uninstalled 3 Windows Updates and now the ATI2015 works again. I will have to selectively re-install these 1 at a time to see which one is the culprit.
