ATI EE hangs-freezes and never ends

I have ATI Echo enterprise build 8398, updated at 11 january

I'm trying a new full backup, of two different partitions, then of a PART of a partition,

Trying saving on an FTP server, then on the same disk (another partition).

NO WAY.

At a certain moment it stops and it stays in same status FOREVER, until I kill the process, that is the only way to stop it.

Any idea?

The only thing I can think about is a sql server running on that disk, but I've tried with sqlservr.exe killed, and tried to exclude these directories (sql) from backup... NO WAY.
