ATIH2011 B5105 Auto Update to B5519 Crashes ATIH2011

Thread needs solution

As ATIH and ATIHPP noticed that there was an update I thought I would try the automatic one and this was the result - sending this now as you will probably have a few calls to field with this error

Two of these on the trot and you can see that App start time is different.

There are lots of different instances of this file on my system see attached file - not all the same version from the look of it - are you using the right one?

It seems to be using this one Visual Studio dated 2005 13 ‎July ‎2009, ‏‎21:46:13:

Hello RayG,

Thank you very much for your post. I will definitely assist you.

Most like this issue is caused by the redistributable components of C Runtime, your operating system could not install them.

We just released a Knowledge Base article that deals with this problem. You can check it here:

 - Acronis True Image Home: Installation Fails with "An error occurred during the installation of assembly" "Microsoft.VC80.CRT,publicKeyToken"

Please let me know if you have additional questions.

Thank you.

Hi Anton,

This was not an installation issue this crash happened when I asked for the download to take place it never got as far as the installation. I will however take a look at the link you suggested.

Hi Anton,

Just an update to say that downloading and running the 5519 build files worked just fine. The failure above was just trying to get ATIH to download the files in the first place.

I therefore suggest that the link you pointed me at was not an issue that I should have been looking at it was more to do with what ATIH2011 B5105 was trying to do in getting the update something over which I have no control.

I have never had an issue (so far) uninstalling or installing ATIH2011 (or 2010 for that matter)

Hello RayG,

Could you please create Acronis System Report (Help -> Generate System Report or press Ctrl + F7 on the main page of Acronis True Image Home 2011) and attach it here?

Thank you.

I can do that but as I have done the upgrade manually will the info still be of use?

Most probably the issue was caused by the 3rd party software which also installs C++ Redistributable package. We just want to check if there is some sort of incompatibility and whether we could reproduce it.

Validation error, please try again. The file you attempted to upload may be too large. If this error persists, please contact the site administrator.

When I tried to attach the file - sorry.

Edited: File now attached

Ray,
I have had this problem before with uploads. Most often, if I switch to a different thread and come and try the same file again, the upload will be successful or try altering the name slightly.
