Hello Thanks,

Welcome to the forum and thank you for your post. I will definitely help you with resolving this issue.

I have studied the log file and according to the error message, there are some errors on your hard drive:

<event code="500" id="9" level="4" message="Failed to read data from the disk. Failed to read from sector '252,306,495' of hard disk '1'. Failed to read the snapshot. (0x10C45A) CRC error (0x100155): ⎂Retry/⎂Ignore/Ignore ⎂All/⎂Cancel" module="1" time="1290609309" />

Please check this article for the solution and I would really appreciate if you can get back to me in case you have additional questions.

Thank you.

Acronis True Image Home 2010 (Buld 7.154)

New PC Windows 7 32 bit Ultimate on Gigabyte G41-D3 Intel P4D 2.8G SATA (3Gb/s) connection to 40G WD drive.

Backup fails after about 30 seconds and reports

"Failed to read from sector 6701463 of hard disk .
Failed to read the snapshot. (0x10c45A0)
CRC error (0x100155)"

Have also run diagnostics. every reports OK. PC otherwise runs OK.

Bootable recovery disk performs similarly. When MBR ent base up, recovery involved copy from a clone disk (both drives in another PC). Lucky I kept that copy harddrive as a recovery option.

Currently doing update to 7.160 but release notes don't include the above problem.

HALP!?!?

Hello George,

Thank you for your message. I will definitely assist you with this issue.

From my experience such problems are caused either by errors on the hard drive or a problem with Acronis low-level drivers that are responsible for disk operations. Please make sure that you have ran chkdsk with the /r parameter, please check this article for more information.

If chkdsk does not help, please refer to this article and download our low-level driver update - version 586. Reboot your machine after the installation and try backing up again.

If you are still having issues, please get back to me with the AcronisInfo report.

Please let me know if you have additional questions.

Thank you.
