Backup cleanup deleting wrong files
I have been using Acronis since 2009 and this is the first time I have noticed this problem.
I have two different backup schemes: one that runs MWF and backups to a NAS, the other runs TThS and backups up to a USB external drive.
Both schemes are set to create FULL backups, and keep 1 version, the intention being that I'll always have one backup from the MWF backup available and one from the TTHS also.
But now for some reason each backup as it completes deletes backups created by the OTHER backup, in the OTHER location. In other words, the MWF backup deletes the backup created by the TThS backup, so that the one just completed is the only one left. This is NOT acceptable and I'm positive this is not the way this has worked previously. Doesn't even make sense that it would work this way, since the two backups could be entirely different and unrelated.
Can someone tell me how to set this up so the two backup schemes don't interfere with each other? I've just recently upgraded to 2015 .
Thanks,
Judy

Thanks for your reply. I will review the info you have provided and recreate my backup tasks. To clarify something, this problem actually started just before upgrading to 2015 -- that was one of the reasons I upgraded. However, I HAD edited the existing backups to change one of the backups to a new location, and had also edited the other one because it had lost the credentials for the NAS. So those changes could have messed something up. (Although it certainly seems like you should be able to edit a task without causing that kind of problem.)
Thanks again. I'll report back if this doesn't correct the problem

Sadly, my experience has been that editing the cause just causes more problems than it corrects.
From your desription of your last edit, it sounds like the "move" option would have been the option to use, if you wanted to make a change to the task. Do report back some time later with your resuts--good or bad.
