Backup to dynamic disks

Thread needs solution

Can ATI 2015 backup to dynamic disks? I do not want to backup dynamic disks or recover dynamic disks, but to place backups to dynamic disks. This way I don't have to micro-manage my drives. I have 2 1TB drives and an assortment of drives with data. I just want the backups to be on the dynamic drive. If the backup(s) is/are too large for the first drive, it continues on to the second (third...etc) drive. If you may backup to dynamic drives, has this always been the case? Again, I do NOT want to backup dynamic drives or restore dynamic drives, just place the backups on dynamic drives.

Thanks for any help or guidance.

I guess your talking about a spanned volume? I know of no restriction on the use of a dynamic disk for backup storage. As long as the volume has a drive letter to provide a path should work like any other disk. Of course spanned volumes are not fault tolerant but I suppose you already know that.

The key here is to make sure that the Acronis Recovery CD can access your backup. Not important for data backups as these can be recovered in Windows. But for backups of system data/disk, you need the recovery CD.
You have to try.
