backup restore ssd+hdd true image 2015
New user acronis true picture of 2015 that I just bought, I have an SSD of 120 go for windows 8 and for different software and HDD drive for all my documents, images etc ....
What is the best type of backup to do:
1) back up to a single backup mode discs 2 "full disk" 2 discs and their scores will they be on the same backup? and they can be restored individually or only 2 together?
2) save each disc separately in "disk mode" or "disk partitions" fashion?
3) Restoration: same questions for restoration.
Also in case of restoration of the SSD it must include the MBR or track 0?
Thank you for your advice.

Hi Pat,
Thank you for your response.
2 For hard drives, I send you enclosed a copy of the screen position of 2 disks and partitions.
The discs fonctionneemnt in AHCI mode.
We did not move system files or C: User. At the time of installation we installed on the SSD 120GB win8 and all the software and the HDD 1.8TB, we have installed all personal files.
So if I understand your advice:
1) I need to save in "Disk and Partition" each disc separately with their respective partitions and not the entire PC?
Save Full PC is not effective?
Is it better to "clone" each disc or "save"?
2) For the MBR track 0: I do not understand.
a) In case of restoration win 8 and software I have to first restore the SSD 120 GB C: and do I have to restore the MBR track 0?
b) Then if I have to restore it after the HDD disk D: I also have to restore MBR track 0?
Forgive me I do not know what to do.
Thank you very much for your help, because I would love to use Acronis True Image to succeed and my backups in case of emergency a good restoration.

Entire PC is effective. If you are OK backing both disks at the same time every time, no issue at all. I would personally backup my system less frequently than my content, but there is no right or wrong.

Definitely better to create a disk and partition backup.

If you just want to restore one disk, you can do it equally from an Entire PC backup or from a set of backup for each disk. Same thing.
MBR+Track0 is not relevant in your case because you have a GPT/UEFI setting.

Hi Pat,
Thank you for your answer, and I will follow your advice:
Complete PC backups of 2 discs simultaneously or backups separate disks.
For MBR track 0: when restoring, I do not try to reinstall it because it is not relevant for the parameter UEFI / GPT.
Again thank you for your advice, I hope that my PC will work long and I will not have need of emergency resettlement.
With greetings.

Make sure you try at least one to boot on the recovery CD and recover a couple of files from your backup. This will increase your level of confidence this will work when you really need it.
