Backup Tasks not starting automatically

Thread needs solution

True Image Home 2010.

Scheduled backup tasks are not starting as scheduled.

Windows 7x64 Intel 1156

Tried the scheduler reinstall already, does not work for me. Any ideas?

Are you using the latest build of TI 2010 (6,053)?

Do manual backups run successfully?

Further to Mudcrab's questions,

In Windows Task manager do you see an entry for schedul2 and schedhlp?

In Services.msc is RPC Service set to automatic and running?

Running the latest build (6053) - this is a fresh install.

In Windows task manager I do not see schedul2 or schedhlp running. I see schedule running.

schedul2 and hlp should be running - does your system not have these scheduled to run at startup? Is the schedule process that is running an Acronis one?

Those two processes ARE running. It took me a bit of time to find them.

The problem is, with Windows 7 sleep mode, Acronis isn't waking up this PC for the backup task. This IS working on two other 775 motherboards, so I am pretty sure it is supposed to work. When I was on live chat, support was telling me Acronis won't wake the computer to run scheduled backup tasks. Does anyone else know if this is right?! When I check the logs on my two other PCs they are executing at their appointed times - in the middle of the night.

Are the other two computers running Windows 7?

Do scheduled tasks set to start when the computer is not sleeping start okay?

Yes, all builds are running Windows 7 x64, and yes, when they are not in sleep mode tasks execute as they should in all cases. The strange thing is that this one configuration (the 1156 motherboard) will not wake using Acronis scheduler from sleep to run the backup. This means that when the computer DOES wake, backup tasks begin and then for the first however many minutes until the tasks complete it is sluggish. VERY annoying and not really what I had in mind from a solution.

Are the sleep mode states set the same on all the computers (same S# state)?

Would you mind posting the brands and models of the three boards?
