Backup .tib filesize much smaller that used disk space

Thread needs solution

When I perform a full backup of my hard drive with NO compression the .tib filesize is coming out significantly smaller than the occupied size of the disk. For example, my disk is showing to have 470GB used but the .tib file is only 463GB big. What is that 7GB difference? I'm using TrueImage Home 2011, though I'm not sure if that matters. Thanks.

The backup image won't include some unnecessary stuff, such as paging file and hibernation file.

I have the same problem but think your explanation is not correct. I have C drive 42,9GB. If I make a FULL backup the size of this backup is only 15.7 Gb. So a difference of more then 27Gb. So original data is 3 times more than the backup?????
