Backup won't end

Thread needs solution

Last night my backup started at 7PM. It was supposed to shut down the computer when it was done. This morning at 5AM the status bar shows "Time remaining:calculating" in Windows Explorer the backup file shows a file "51GB" was created at 8:19PM yesterday.

What type of backup is it? Disk and Partition, Files, eMail, NSB?
What version of ATI?
Is it a new backup? Or is this a backup that was working before and stopped working?

It's a file backup using TI Home2011 build 6696. I do weekly backups and this is the second week with this problem. Last week after 21 hours I rebooted my computer. When I left this morning at 7:30AM it was still running. When I returned at 12:30PM it had finished. I'm using a incremental backup scheme and I'm thinking that maybe a differential scheme.

Bob,

Is your disk set up as "optimized for performance" and write cache enabled, in device management, disk, properties, policies?

If you create a new task, is the performance better? If you run the backup from the CD, is it better?
