Bad Install
It seemed to install but wouldn't accept an update. I tried to uninstall, which was problematic. Bluescreen, system crash. restart, I tried system restore to a couple days ago, but that didn't work either. Cleaned my registry and again attempted to install without success.
Attached is the latest report.
I was going to use ATI to clone to a bigger HDD, but may opt to reinstall Window and start over.

Clean up utility appeared to work but got the same error message, image attached

Sorry, my previous post may have misled you:
- use the clean up utility,
- reboot,
- download and install the latest build from the Acronis web site. Do not let ATI update itself.
In fact, let's do this:
- use the clean up utility,
- use msconfig to create a clean boot environment (disable all non-microsoft services, disable all startup items)
- reboot,
- download and install the latest build.
- if the problem goes way, put the msconfig settings back to normal startup.

I went ahead and installed Windows to new HDD, and ATI2012 installed flawlessly. I backed up the fresh install and will back up again once my programs are re-installed. From there I'll figure out how to schedule backups.

Whenever you install Windows and create a fresh backup, remember to take your time and reboot your computer several times to make sure that all updates, programs and drivers that you installed are properly installed. I recently tried to recover such a backup and it was not usable because Windows was backed up in a state where something had to run at startup and that thing was probably not installed on the SSD I recovered. As a consequence, my fast In7 startup was hanging for a mn before going through.
I ended up recovering a image done later that didn't show the problem.
The other thing you want to make sure is that your ACronis recovery CD is working: boot the computer on it and recover a couple of files from your backup.
