Blue screen caused by Acronis driver?

Thread needs solution

I recently upgraded to ATIH 2012, and last week installed build 7133 with no problems. Subsequently I have had a Blue Screen from Win 7 on clicking on shut-down of the P.C. Win 7 recovered successfully but subsequent investigation of the dump file suggested that the driver fltsrv.sys was responsible, which is the Acronis Storage Filter Management driver. The error message was Driver IRQL not less or equal - 0x000000D1. The driver file date is consistent with my first installation of ATIH 2012 and was not changed on build 7133. My system is Win 7 Professional 64 bits, and this is the first blue screen experienced since I have had it. (nearly 3 years).

The only other change to the PC was to install the latest August Microsoft system updates, which I did the same day earlier. The PC ran Ok though until attempted shutdown when I got the blue screen. I was later able to shut down without problem.

Any advice from Acronis support? Is there a possible problem with this driver?

Welcome Chris,

In some cases, files from an earlier version may not be updated or removed when upgrading from an earlier version of the product.

When this occurs, we normally recommed that you uninstall the current product.  Run the clean up utility, then reinstall the latest build.

Start by backing up or exporting any tasks you do not wish to recreate

Close the application and run the uninstall from Programs and Features

Now run the Clean Up Utility ***Note follow all instructions completely,  Make sure you disable secure zone, startup and recovery and/or Windows integration if enabled. Do not restart until you confirm all files have been removed correctly.

Reinstall the latest build and test the result
