Blue screen issue.

Thread needs solution

Can someone help me, I bought Acronis true image 2013 a few months or so ago. Not because I needed the new version but because 2012 blue screened my computer if I updated it, causing me days trying to get my P.C back. I thought I would just get the 2013 and it would sort it but behold same thing as soon as I installed it.

If you just want to rant, then you'd be better to send it to Acronis as they do not read all the threads here.

If you truly want help, you need to go about it differently. You would need to post relevant details in a clear, coherent manner such as bullet points, and use shorter paragraphs that we can read.

What is the code you get when the BSOD occurs?

Is this a standard copy of Windows 7 or one that is provided by an IT department or obtained elswhere?

Don't forget the problem may or may not eb soley down to True Image, many programs interact with each other and with the Windows subsystem, and some unfriendliness in one of them might cause upset in a totally different area.

BSOD's are mainly caused by driver problems, but without knowing the specific fault code and description it is difficult to know where to look.

One point, if you have either a Secure Zone or the ASRM activated, you might need to deactivate them when upgrading. You may also have a problem with entries in registry. Did you try using the Acronis cleaner for 2012/13?
