Boot CD or SecureZone not seeing external USB Drive (TI 11 Build 8,027)

Thread needs solution

Hi all

When I boot into the SecureZone or from a recovery CD I am not seeing my external USB drive.

I thought v11 had USB drivers etc.

No error messages or info warnings. Just is not there.

USB has external power and works finr within Windows.

Any ideas ?

TIA

Chris

The usual reason is that the boot cd doesn't have the drivers for the chipset in your usb enclosure. The boot cd runs under Linux. Later versions of True Image have more drivers built into it's Linux OS. Or you can make a BartPE cd and embed the True Image plug-in into it.

One of the items in GroverH's sticky would have instructions for making that BartPE cd.

Hello Chris,

I understand the question and will do everything possible from my side to solve the issue.

The source of the issue is lack of drivers under Acronis bootable disc. I sent you a special ISO image of Acronis bootable disc based on ISOLinux loader via PM, this ISO has better hardware support than usual one and it will certainly solve the issue you experience.

I may also recommend you to download free trial version of Acronis True Image Home 2010 and test it. If the issue is not reproduced you can purchase an upgrade just for $29.99 using our online store.

Let me know if you need further assistance.

Thank you.
