Boot media will not support wireless mouse/keyboard
I've seen several posts in this forum, and this issue has been left unanswered many times. I've used True Image ever since version 8. I've always been satisfied with the software and disappointed in their tech support. They are usually very slow to respond to questions, and at times, don't respond at all. Back to the issue of the wireless support in the boot media, the versions up through the original 2009 all worked with wireless products. It wasn't until they started updating version 2009 and then coming out with version 2010 that this issue surfaced. Sad part is that there is no mention of this little problem in their sales pitch, and unfortunately, most people probably don't make the media in the first place, and of the people who do, probably a majority don't really check to make sure it works. I've been communicating with tech support and I told them that I found that if you plug a USB mouse/keyboard into the computer, it will work with that. The quoted response from their last email to me is “I have checked the case details provided by you, as you mentioned that you are using wireless mouse, I would like to inform you that Acronis bootable rescue media does not support wireless mouse, however you can use USB mouse and keyboard and it would work”. Again, there is no mention of this issue in their sales literature, and no one told us when the software was purchased that we would have to purchase a USB mouse/keyboard in order to use the software. Maybe they should be including a mouse/keyboard with the software at the time of purchase instead of having a customer attempt to restore a computer, only to find out that they are stuck without a USB mouse/keyboard.

Hello Ron,
Thank you for posting. I would like to share the information that can be useful for other customers.
If your wireless USB mouse and keyboard, which are parts of a wireless USB kit, do not work in Acronis Bootable Media (the issue described in this article), please log in to your account, go to the Registered products and downloads section -> Bootable media (please note that the license should be registered). We have recently uploaded new files that contain the fix for the issue.
Download the file, create Acronis Bootable Media and check its' functionality..
You can find the information on how to download the appropriate ISOLINUX file in this article.
There are two types of Acronis Bootable Media:
- Acronis Bootable Media that you can generate in your Acronis product. This type of media is based on Acronis Loader;
- Acronis Bootable Media that you can download from your account on the Acronis website. This type of media is based on ISOLINUX.
ISOLINUX Bootable Media is usually more up to date than the Acronis Loader one. This is due to the fact a new version of Acronis Bootable Media is uploaded to the web site more frequently than regular product updates are released.
Please see this article on how to burn an ISO file to a CD disk.
Please let us know the results, we should be sure that the program runs flawlessly. If the provided information is not clear or if you have any other question do not hesitate to post them and we will be glad to answer.
Thank you.
