Bootable CDs for True Image Home 10 and 12 Don't Boot

Thread needs solution

Extremely frustrated. Have a major problem with a desktop. Although dutifully backed up prior to the "infection", I find I now have no way of accessing the backup archives. The bootable CD from True Image 10 will not boot, nor will the bootable CD from True Image 12. I went back to 10 as my backup software as I could never get 12 to work properly.

HELP!

Are you able to boot from any other bootable CDs on that PC (not Acronis CDs)? Perhaps you have not set your BIOS to allow CD booting.

Also, please be clear when asking for help on ATI versions. I suspect you mean ATi versions 2010 and 2012, as version 10 is from 2006.

Jerry,
You should be able to restore your backup using the same version of TrueImage CD that was used to create the original backup.

Another option is to download the trial version bootable media iso of the 2013 trial version.
This 2013 trial bootable media can be used to restore a backup created from prior versions.

If you are having trouble booting from the TI recovery CD, be sure the bios is set to boot from the CD first.

TrueImage 10 was used. Much research on this forum has shown that bootable CD to be ng. I have TrueImage 12 cd, it doesn't work either.
People keep saying "be sure the bios is set to boot from the CD first". I not see that option in my bios setup. Only thing I have is the option of entering "F12" in order to use a temporary boot device. When I do that with TrueImage 12 CD in drive, drive select light flashes three times, and then machine shuts down.

Try doing a google search for
how to change boot order

What is brand and model of computer you are using?

If your BIOS is not set to allow booting from CD, then your statement that the ATI bootable CD is no good is nonsense. A lack of BIOS setting for booting from CD is not an Acronis issue.

My first reply to you was to ask if you able to boot from any other bootable CDs on that PC (not Acronis CDs)? You never even answered that. I think you need to set your BIOS. If you can't set it to boot from CD (which is unlikely), you may set it to boot from USB flash drive.
