Bootable Media and no NIC drivers

Thread needs solution

I have TI Workstation with Universal Restore and made a bootable media CD. I boot using the CD and choose the TI Workstation Full option with UR, but I cannot access the network. This is definately caused by the CD not having the NIC drivers for this new Dell E5400. How can I update the media so I can boot to the network? Help.

Hello Jeff,

Thank you for using [[http://www.acronis.com/enterprise/ | Acronis Corporate Products]]

We have implemented the possibility to download the appropriate ISO file after logging in to your account (the serial number should be registered). Please log in to your account, go to the Registered products section -> Bootable media. Download the file.

You can find more information on how to burn an ISO image to a CD here and here

Create a new CD and see if the issue remains.

Thank you.

Hello,

I unfortunately have the same problem. Sorry, but I didn´t found any Section named "Bootable media", you pointed to.
Therefore I have a Link under registered Products section named "Available Acronis Backup&Recovery Advanced Workstation Universal Restore Upgrade"

To purchase this Upgrade I need an AMPS Key. The Link named "purchase Upgrade" isn´t working;
Dest is:
https://www.acronis.com/buy/purl-abraw-ur-upg-de/&quantity='+0+'
I get following message:

PLEASE help me! my problem is, that I can´t load Images on new PANASONIC toughbooks CF-W8, because there will no NIC be found. My second idea with a PCMCIA LAN card also failed.

Hello Christian,

I've sent you the link to ISO file via PM, please burn it to CD, test it and ket us know the results posting them in this thread.

Thank you.

Thanks, I just downloaded and burn the ISO with AUR 9.1b3877. But my try with the TOUGHBOOK CF-W8 unfortunately failed. I´ve got the message "E000101F4: ..." - yes the problem with the HDD storage, that couldn´t be found.
It is the ICH9 S-ATA storage in that TOUGHBOOK, ven_8086 dev_2929 subcc 833810F7

the by UR 9.1b3877 also not identified LAN device is the Intel 82567LM with wen_8086 dev_10F5 subcc 833810F7

do you have any other idea? is it possilbe to use a newer kernel-version of Unix? or is there some possibility to insert the *.inf and *.sys files during the loading operation?

Hello Christian,

It means that our latest version of 9.1 version does not contain the driver for your HDD's, that's why it cannot recognize it. Unfortunately, there's no way to add these drivers separately...

I'd recommend you to download trial version of Acronis Backup&Recovery 10 from here. Please check if the issue persists and let us know the results.

Thank you.

About Year ago, one of my friend used Acronis Software to creat backup for my computer and after few weeks i restore my computer and then I was unable to connect to internet and lost my network adaptor from system. I reinstall my computer and still unable to find network adaptor. I have not serial number for the softer he used on my computer and i reinstalled my computer. What can i do to fix this issue. I do not want to install this software again but i would like to fix my network issue. If i send my laptop to compaq then it will cost me allot.

Parminder Singh,

If you've reinstalled Windows already and you still can't access the NIC or it doesn't show up in Device Manager there must be something else going on. Even if TI had somehow "lost" the NIC from the computer, reinstalling Windows would have set everything back.

Verify that you have the correct NIC drivers for the computer and the version of Windows. Check in Device Manager for any errors on the NIC. Check the BIOS and verify the NIC is enabled.
