Bootable media TI 2014. I cannot select any options, plus GPT disk problem

Thread needs solution

I have created a bootable USB drive with TI 2014, which I can boot from and launch TI 2014.

However, once in the program, when I click on any options e.g. Recover>My Disks, nothing happens.

It's as if the mouse clicks are not recognized. I notice many previous posts where there is no usb mouse or keyboard, but I have a mouse cursor, I can move it around ok, but the software does not respond to my mouse clicks.

As such, it renders my disk backups as useless as I cannot restore. Any ideas/suggestions?

As I have TI 2014 Premium (OS is Windows 7, 64-bit), Acronis suggested I create the bootable USB media using the following WinPE Media with Acronis Plug-In method:

https://kb.acronis.com/ja/node/46255

This method works in so far as I can boot from the USB drive, run the TI 2014 software and use the mouse. However, my GPT disk (which contains my Acronis backups) appears as a drive icon, but when I select it no data is not recognised at all. On reboot back into my Windows 7 64-bit environment, chkdsk runs on the GPT disk.

I paid extra for TI 2014 Premium because it supports GPT disks.

Anyone able to help?

Try connecting the usb drive via usb2.

By usb2, do you mean a USB port that supports USB 2.0?

Yes. My thought was if connecting via a usb3 port, then try connecting via usb2 port or a usb2 cable.

Tried different usb ports and it makes no difference.

I believe the problem is the WinPE bootable media that Acronis advised I create does not support my GPT disk.
