BSOD after recovering volume - does not happen after cloning same volume from another HDD

Thread needs solution

After my system crashed, I tried to recover my operating system (Windos 7 64 bit) from an image I created earlier. When I tried to boot, I always got a bsod stating a problem with some "registry filtering". Lucky for me, I also created an exact clone of my system to another HDD before (with the acronis disc clone feature). I cloned my system back from that HDD and had a fully functional system in return.

But I was curios. I tried to recover my volume from the image again - bsod. I cloned again - working. I tried recovering with MBR and without MBR. I tried Acronis boot agent and Acronis rescue medium. It all ended up the same: Cloning works, recovering does not work.

Some facts:
OS Windows 7 64 bit
System drive: SSD 256 GB (SATA AHCI)
Other: 3 Backup HDD (256 GB 640 GB+ 2 TB, SATA AHCI)

I forgot to mention that I tried both procedures with my bios set to IDE. Same results.

I summarize: I can't use Acronis the way I want to, creating an image and reading it back in an emergency.

Suggestions anyone?

Greetings

A. Stephan

It's possible that it's a partition order/placement issue. When restoring, don't select the track0/mbr and then manualy place any hidden partition the same as on the original disk ans ame size, then rstore the other partitons and the track0/mbr. If that doens't work, you might have to contac tech support for help or customer service for a refund.
