Can I do a one-way sync?

Thread needs solution

I want to be able to sync form one folder to another but only one-way. Is there any option in True Image Home 2013 to be able to do that. I looked at the Sync feature and it is two way. I also looked at non-stop backup but it seems like overkill since it is saving multiple copies. All I want is essentially a continuous backup of a folder without any need for history.

You are correct, Acronis Sync is two way. Any changes you make to either folder will be reflected in the Sync. If you are not making any changes to the target folder, the Acronis Sync should work as you are suggesting. You could also look at an additional third party applications to do as you are suggesting. Take a look at this site for some recommendations: http://www.tomsguide.com/us/file-sync-backup,review-1060.html

Actually even if I don't make any changes to the target folder, it doesn't work as one-way. If I delete a file from my source folder Acronis restores it from the target folder - not what I intended. Also it seems a pity that Acronis is supposed to be a full service backup solution but I have to rely on a third party utility to do a one-way sync. Why is it so hard for Acronis to provide this feature?

This is not normal behavior. Something is updating the file stamps on the target folder, I'd guess and ATI thinks the to-be-deleted file is actually more recent than the original deletion.
