Can I use TI 2011 to restore TI 9.0 images?
I have been using TI 9.0 for the last 4 years. It has been a terrific product for me, saved me a number of times when I had to restore back up images, and just recently I used 9.0 to clone an old HD to a new one.
I finally decided it was about time to upgrade to the current build, so I just purchased TI 2011. My question is, will TI 2011 be able to work with those TI 9.0 images? In other words, if I uninstall TI 9.0 (which I think is a better idea than trying to install 2011 over top of 9.0), will 2011 be able to restore the older 9.0 images, if need be? Is TI 2011 backward compatible?
Appreciate any input/advice!
Edit: replaced post in proper forum.

Thanks for the helpful reply, Colin.
I did go back and place the post in the proper forum (I think).
Do you have an opinion on which method of upgrading is best?
I see that support says either will work, but I'd like to know if any users here have a preference... install TI 2011 over top of TI 9.0, or uninstall 9.0 and do a clean install of 2011.

I would plump for a clean install.
If you have a secure zone, I would delete it (after moving the contents) and make a new one with 2011.
Don't forget to make sure the 2011 rescue CD works OK for your system.
I think you are still in the ABR forum, unless you ticked leave shodow copy in which case you are now in both. There is a drop down box to the left of the topic name which will allow you to select the forum to change to.

I think I will follow your advice and go for the clean install.
As for forum placement, everything looks good to me... like I moved it and have no shadow copy ticked.
Maybe it's a cache thing?
Edit: I tried again to move it to the correct forum. Sorry for any confusion.
