Can you repair or discard a bad backup file in an archive.

Thread needs solution

Using Acronis 2014, Backup seems to work for months at a time and then I get a message with this information in it.

The archive is corrupted (0x70020)

Once this start I generally deleted the archive and recreate it. My question is:

Is there a way to either remove the bad archive file so I only lose the one backup day or repair the archive?

Acronis TrueImage 2014

I am getting following error for my backup partision and daily backup , system advising backup successful?

I have no prbolem restore the data from my Daily backup or Partion backup!

Any suggestion what to do to fix this ?

And Install for diffent client which is 2016 simaler message but backup successful

Note your line 1 is same as line 1 in Thomas's posting.  Both are informational and not error message.  Ignore both line 1's.  YOu are probably not even using the option to make a new backup/reserve copy immediately following the normal backup creation.

There is no repair tool. As this is an incremental backup, the chain is broken at this point which is Slice S51. Anything newer cannot be validated but you can try , also try validating the S50 which will validate the full and from 1-50 which would make that group usuable.

 

Too many incrmentals is not a good idea.  More frequent full's are needed.

I wil try to purge the backup scheduales and recreate them from scratch.

as I explan I have no problem restoring from partion or dailybackup have no issue restoring the partion back from last back.

I had the same issue with my client I install the software and that one was new scheduale and customer was getting the same error
