Cancelling/removing a synchronization job

Thread needs solution

I recently decided to cancel my acronis cloud subscription. However, there were still some jobs that were trying to sync to the cloud. I was able to remove them for the most part, but on the "Synchronization" tab, it appears as though there's still an item that's trying to reach the cloud:

This seems to be preventing the local backups from running. Is there any way to clear this sync job? Thanks in advance for any assistance.

What version are you using - that doesn't look like 2015?

You should be able to naviate to:

C:\ProgramData\Acronis\TrueImageHome\Scripts

You can open the .tis files with notepad.  Look for any that reference the cloud backup names/jobs and manually delete those.

You should also be able to turn off the synch service from control panel >>> administrative tools >>> right-click "services" and "run as administrator. >>> stop and also DISABLE the Acronis Synch Agent Service

You could probably also blow away whatever's in

C:\ProgramData\Acronis\SyncAgent\OnlineBackup

now.

I just checked and apparently I have Acronis True Image 2014, Build 6673. So I guess I should have posted in the "Older Versions" forum, my mistake.

I was able to stop and disable the Acronis service in CP. However, neither the "Scripts" nor the "OnlineBackup" directory appears under the Acronis or TrueImage Home folders.

The C:\ProgramData\Acronis folders are often hidden by default in Windows Explorer so you may need to change the folder view options to show hidden/system folders / files.

Woops, I was looking in Program Files. Yes, the necessary folders are in ProgramData, thanks!
