Cannot backup on the network drive
I have a drive that is connected to the server. The server drive is seen on my machine in network places.
Yet, the schedule backup does not work, manual backup works just fine. Is there any place I need to specify the server login and password (where the backup file is stored?)
Thanks

Reports from other users indicate that when using ATI with a network drive, use a UNC path to to your NAS device for a backup destination, not a typical friendly "mapped" drive.
e.g.
\\192.168.2.25\My Backups\
I believe it may also be possible to use a UNC path that includes server name rather than IP, such as
\\server1\My Backups\

Yes I have used the unc path with the server name and not the ip address. Acronis can do backup fine if I do it manually!

Thank you for your posting!
SK, I can provide you two ways to solve this issue. Please follow these articles:
- Saving an Image to a Mapped Drive from an Acronis Backup Task Fails Sporadically
If you have any additional questions, please let me know!
Thank you
Hi!
I looked at both the articles. The first one asks me to use UNC path which I did and the second one give a patch from 2005.
Still not working
Thanks

The scheduler module from the second article is from 2011 (it has 2005 in its path because the article was created in 2005; file itself was updated) but don't download it if you have actual scheduler version (you can check it in C:\Program Files\Common Files\Acronis\Schedule2\ ) greater than 1.0.0.467 - the patch will downgrade it.
Does your scheduled backup starts, write some error in log and fails, or the task just doesn't start at all in the scheduled time?

I have 1.0.0.473
The scheduler does not start and I do not see anything on the event log. I have attached the acronis logs here. Please note that the log file also shows success when I executed manually.

SK dutta,
If your scheduler doesn't work, you can use Windows Task Scheduler to run your backups (this is what I do currently on Win8). Create a new task in the task scheduler. The action is to run a program.
To see how to enter the parameter for the action, create a shortcut of your backup on your desktop. Right click on the shortcut to see the program and the parameter. Enter this information in the task scheduler wizard.

I tried creating the shortcut and it looks like this: "C:\Program Files (x86)\Acronis\TrueImageHome\TrueImageLauncher.exe" /script:C91D137B-DEE0-44CB-A7B5-A273929AA0F5
When I run the shortcut by double clicking on it, it just runs fine with uac prompt. But when I put the same shortcut in the windows scheduler, it runs successfully but does not create a backup. Any ideas?
