cannot find version x

Thread needs solution

I've had this problem over and over again with TI 2015 and windows 10 (I've been using other versions of Acronis for years with no problems). I do a full backup, then incremental backups, with validate after backup.

I  have one set that was a fullbackup and 7 incremental ones, but then it starts putting up messages that it can't find version x during validation after backup. All versions are present on the hard drive. The Browse button does nothing at all. There is no Ignore button to ignore it (one of the choisces suggested!). There is now no option to Validate in either the drop down choices for that backup or in Options for that backup

. I have another backup with 1 full backup and 5 incremental ones and a second full one and 2 incremental ones - same problems.

I made a new folder on the hard drive and made a new full back up today - it then says it can't find verions 1!! And then the option to validate disappears!.

Chkdsk reports no problems on the hard drive I'm using.

This is ridiculous! What is the point of a backup programme that doesn't produce anything usable!
