Cannot set FTP Destination for backup since upgrading to 2012 (and other 2012 gripes)

Hi,
Since I've upgraded to 2012 I cannot set a subfolder of an ftp location as the destination as of a backup. It used to work OK in 2011.

When I open the 'Browse For Destination' dialog, I can see the FTP connection listed, I click on it and see the folder I want to backup into to (thus proving the credentials are OK). However, when I select it and click OK, the path that gets saved in the Destination field does not contain the folder.

Anybody any ideas what might be going wrong / or are there any workarounds?

PS I'm very unhappy with TIH 2012 - it's never worked properly since I upgraded. I need to be able to rely on my backups but I'm rapidly loosing faith in Acronis. If I don't see a release that works properly soon, I'm going to have to bail out and find another solution. Anybody else feeling the same frustration?
